Our Keyword Explorer tool estimates that these organic results only reach 56 percent of the clicks of the page. Even though this first query doubled the volume of research, it has half the opportunity.

Is there a direct impact of social research?

If people do not click on your list or click on it and immediately click on the Back button because you have not provided what they want, it is likely that you will fall in the rankings fairly quickly.

Social signals, we think, do not figure as much. Google has its partnership with Twitter, allowing tweets and many Twitter accounts to show in Google results, but we do not think beyond that, there is a lot of direct impact of social research. Some methods are obsolete. The keyword once per 100 words no longer works. If you apply rules like these, you will definitely want to come back in 1997. Similarly, the LSI keyword methodology was probably scored 10 years ago or more.

But, using keywords that search engines perceive as relevant to content can increase your rankings. We had some experiences proving that. My favorite method here is to use Google’s own intelligence to identify them.
